Giving Circle Albania 2023 Live Crowdfunding Event

On the evening of December 6th, Partners Albania organized the fifth LIVE crowdfunding event, “Giving Circles,” which stirred special emotions from representatives of four social causes. These causes aim to address the needs of communities in Shupenze, Korçë, Fushë Krujë, and Shkoze.

Impressed by the conveyed messages, both individuals and institutions participating in the event, offered contributions ranging from monetary contributions, materials, and offers of professional services and volunteer work.  The total amount raised reached 2,306,505 Lek, surpassing the initial target of 1,200,000 Lek for the support of the four social causes, and the contributions are set to continue.

Implementing organizations expressed gratitude for the generosity and outlined how the donations would directly impact their initiatives:

  • In the “Rifat Manjani” high school in Shtupeze, Bulqize, a resource class will be established with appropriate teaching materials. Personalized activities will be introduced to enhance not only the intelligence but also the social and emotional skills of children with special needs. This initiative is led by the Bulqiza Nature and Tourism Association.
  • Approximately 100 children aged 6-15 in the city of Korça will benefit from dedicated programs at three day centers. Additionally, parents will receive training on life skills. Emanuel Mission Foundation is spearheading this initiative.
  • The project to revitalize ‘Domino Square’ aims to transform the space into a safe and attractive area for the entire community. Through the mobilization of residents, particularly young people, the goal is to enhance the environment, safety, and establish a new center for cultural activities. Porta Rome Per Integrim is leading this initiative.
  • “The first period box” initiative will involve the preparation and distribution of first period boxes for girls, informative training, and the promotion of an open and supportive culture regarding reproductive health in the Shkoza area of Tirana. The Institute for Strategic Development is driving this effort.

Events like these possess the remarkable ability to evoke empathy and spark transformation within individuals, leaving a profound impact on the communities benefiting from the donations and support.

Heartfelt thanks and gratitude to everyone for their contributions!
