The draft Law “On Donations and Sponsorships,” which aims to regulate the principles, rules, and procedures applicable to the granting and acceptance of donations and sponsorships of public interest in the Republic of Albania, has been made available to the public for consultation.

This draft law has been prepared in the context of Albania’s obligations within the European integration process, as part of the broader package of anti-corruption legislation.

In the context of our work to promote an enabling environment for the non-profit sector, we have reviewed the draft law and analysed its provisions in light of their anticipated impact on the functioning of non-profit organisations, identifying a number of substantive concerns.
